Appennino Bolognese - Riserva Naturale del Contrafforte Pliocenico - Sul bordo del fronte roccioso di Monte Adone - La Riserva è caratterizzata da una serie di pareti in pietra arenaria che si snodano per una quindicina di chilometri tra le valli dei fiumi Setta, Reno, Savena, Zena e Idice. La sedimentazione di sabbie e ghiaie che ha portato a queste formazioni è risalente a circa 2 - 5 milioni di anni fa. L'area di Monte Adone rientra nel percorso della “Via degli Dei”, itinerario escursionistico che parte da Bologna e giunge a Firenze.
