Prima di lasciare Angkor Wat per recarsi al Tempio di Ta Prohm l'ultimo sguardo è per i corridoi di Angkor Wat. Sono rinomati per le loro sculture in bassorilievo che si estendono per oltre 800 metri raffiguranti scene epiche della mitologia indù e le gesta del re, e per essere parte integrante di un complesso architettonico imponente e ben conservato. Oltre ad essere elementi architettonici, i corridoi sono la galleria d'arte del tempio, che permette di "leggere" la storia e la cultura khmer attraverso le loro pareti.

I corridoi interni sono composti da gallerie rettangolari che collegano le varie parti del tempio, proteggendo le preziose sculture che adornano le pareti.

Le mura del corridoio interno sono lunghe oltre 800 metri. Le pareti sono decorate con bassorilievi alti più di 2,5 metri che illustrano scene epiche e mitologiche, come quelle tratte dai testi sacri induisti, oltre alle gesta del re e a migliaia di figure di divinità minori (Devata) e danzatrici celesti (Apsara).
