La costa atlantica della Spagna è caratterizzata da fenomeni di marea importanti, che possono facilmente superare il metro di altezza. Per raggiungere questa location è necessario fare un guado con l'acqua all'altezza della cintura, perciò, per questo scatto avevo pianificato accuratamente tutto: meteo, marea, sopralluogo. Purtroppo il giorno prescelto il meteo mi ha tradito e sono stato costretto a posticipare di due giorni; a causa del ritardo, tuttavia, l'altezza della marea ormai arrivava ben sopra la cintura e, occasionalmente, per via delle onde, anche oltre. Non me la sono sentita di farlo al buio. Quando finalmente la marea è scesa poco sotto la cintura e la luce permetteva di vedere dove mettere i piedi, il sole era già brillante sopra l'orizzonte ma ho cercato di comporre in modo da ricreare l'impressione dell'alba, col sole che spunta da una roccia.
