Cape Cross è uno dei luoghi più famosi della costa della Namibia, celebre per la sua enorme colonia di otarie del Capo – una delle più grandi al mondo. Si trova lungo la Skeleton Coast, in un tratto di oceano spesso avvolto da nebbia e vento, che crea un'atmosfera selvaggia e potente. Il nome deriva dalla croce eretta dall'esploratore portoghese Diogo Cão nel 1486. Oggi è una riserva protetta, dove si può osservare da vicino migliaia di otarie che riempiono la spiaggia con i loro versi e movimenti. Ma ragazzi, che puzza !
