Alfa Romeo Sport Prototipo 1989 L'Alfa Romeo Sport Prototipo, è una vettura da competizione realizzata alla fine degli anni Ottanta per poter disputare il Campionato del Mondo Sport Prototipi (al quale non partecipò mai, anche complica la crisi che a veva colpito la casa e l'alto costo del progetto). Il progetto del motore con il quale è equipaggiata la vettura, denominato, V1035 venne affidato Alfa Romeo SE 048 SP auto italia evolution all'Ingegnere d'Agostino, che pensò potesse esser meglio utilizzare un propulsore V10 anziché gli abituali 12 o 8 cilindri. Così vide la luce il primo motore di Formula 1 V10 della storia moderna, che, però, non ha mai equipaggiato una monoposto da Gran Premio. Il motore in questione, composto da due bancate, in lega di alluminio e silicio,nelle quali alloggiavano 5 cilindri ciascuna, aveva una cilindrata di circa 3.500 cc e riuscì a sviluppare la potenza di 620 CV a 13.300 giri/min, con coppia massima di 383 nm a 9500 giri/min.( fonte facebook)
