The photo is technically very good, but like all these photos it appears unnatural and subjects do not convey that vitality that distinguishes them, moreover all the photos take on similar and not very personal characters!
Why don't you try to photograph one of these butterflies when it's active?
You are lucky enough to meet such beautiful specimens... it's a shame not to!

Ciao,
ottimo taglio e composizione, bellissimi colori tenui e splendido bokeh.

Cordiali saluti, Leon

I find the image very nice with good sharpness on the two subjects.
An important find considering that they are not so easy to find, you lucky even two.

Dmo is not entirely wrong, for example I only photograph insects in activity and I find it difficult to comment on photographs behind which there is a great deal of study, composition, search for original perches and backgrounds. This does not detract from the fact that it is a qualitatively superlative image even if it is not my thing, but in the macro there is room for everyone, just be sincere in the comments, then everyone photographs what they want.

@Dmo

" La foto è tecnicamente molto buona"
Ciao, ti ringrazio!

Comunque tengo in considerazione tutte queste tue opinioni e ne faccio tesoro

Grazie mille per il commento, saluti! MrGreen

The only regret to me is the somewhat stingy resolution,
I have already pointed it out to Alessio,
but he is very free to proceed as he wants;
That said, I like the photo very much; and I sincerely congratulate you!

@Ribefra
Thank you very much for the comment! If you think about it, the study, composition, search for original perches and the background as you wrote are still various pieces that come together to create the word "Photography :-D
Greetings!

@Gandy
Hi Gandy! Thank you very much as always, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm not used to uploading photos to the web at maximum resolution, the HD files are the only one I have in my Hard Disk, but I can assure you that I made a bunch like this to have the two Zerynthie all perfectly in focus ;-)

This is how I imagine a true macro photo: the subject is perfectly sharp, the background is blurred, and the colors are realistic. Great job.
