Il Giudizio Universale. La Cappella degli Scrovegni è stata affrescata da Giotto. La Cappella degli Scrovegni è da datarsi ai primissimi anni del 1300. La sua edificazione fu sovvenzionata da Enrico Scrovegni, a quel tempo tra gli uomini più ricchi e potenti di Padova. Enrico acquistò alcune proprietà immobiliari nella cosiddetta area dell'Arena di Padova, zona così chiamata perché qui sorgeva l'antico anfiteatro romano della città. In questo luogo, l'esponente della famiglia Scrovegni fece costruire il palazzo di famiglia (oggi non più esistente) e la chiesetta privata poi universalmente nota come Cappella degli Scrovegni.
