Catalogata come NGC891 la Galassia Nastro D'Argento si trova a 39 milioni di anni luce dal nostro amato (mica tanto !) pianeta Terra. L'immagine è un arricchimento della foto che scattai l'anno scorso e in particolare ho raddoppiato l'integrazione portandola a 8 ore totali, 4 per la luminanza e altrettante per il colore. Lo strumento usato è un RC8 a piena focale con camera monocromatica. Riprese dal mio balcone di casa come sempre.

Amazing that a portion of the photons that originated from this galaxy 39 million years ago were able to reach us with this level of details. I mean, I know a little bit of physics, and I see the evidence, but I still find it hard to believe is possible. Our brain (mine at least) were not conceived to have a grasp on things like that. I mean, until yesterday we used to believe in the god of thunder, the god of the sun and so on and forth.
