A Badde Salighes, nel territorio di Bolotana (NU), la storica dimora dell'ingegnere Benjamin Piercy emerge dal parco secolare che l'imprenditore impiantò ed arricchì con specie esotiche e autoctone, vestito dei colori caldi dell'autunno. Un luogo sospeso nel tempo, testimone della visione e della storia di una famiglia che ha plasmato la storia ed il paesaggio, non solo del Marghine, ma dell'Italia e dell'Europa stessa. È quanto ho potuto apprendere durante l'interessantissima visita guidata all'interno della villa. L'ingegnere e la sua famiglia sono profondamente legati alla storia d'Italia, pare che egli stesso fosse grande amico nientemeno che di Garibaldi e che dentro questa villa si sia discusso della marcia dei mille. Ma pare che anche alcuni degli avvenimenti della seconda guerra mondiale siano passati per la scrivania dello studio che fu dell'ingegner Piercy. Molto interessante anche la parte Botanica della visita durante la quale abbiamo potuto ammirare, fra le varie specie, un immenso abete di Spagna. #Autumn #Autunno #giallo #yellow #coloriautunnali
