Nella notte tra 6 e 7 ottobre, grazie alle ottime condizioni del cielo, ho effettuato alcune riprese alla Luna in fase piena, poi le ho elaborate e le immagini risultanti le ho assemblate per formare questo mosaico. Ho poi aumentato la saturazione dei colori per mostrare la diversa composizione chimica della regolite lunare. A causa di un leggero aumento del diametro apparente, causato dalla minore distanza, questa viene chiamata Superluna e la prossima si verificherà il 5 novembre, con il nostro satellite che si troverà ancora più vicino al perigeo, al punto di minima distanza da noi.
