Polo petrolchimico di Siracusa, tristemente noto per gli strascichi negativi sulla salute che porta con sé da quando è stata impiantata nei primissimi anni 50. La povertà della Sicilia nel dopoguerra fu la base per questo scellerato piano di industrializzazione. Certo ha dato migliaia di posti di lavoro… ma a che prezzo?
