I resti della vecchia scuola nel minuscolo abitato di Plat, punto di partenza del breve trekking che porta alla 'spiaggia dei sette cancelli' (Meli Beach) nell'isola croata di Cres. Luogo meraviglioso ed incontaminato quando lo visitammo la prima volta nel 2015, ora la spiaggia è stata attrezzata con baraccone 'beach bar' (con annesso cartellone che pubblicizza l'Aperol Spritz), tavolini ed ombrelloni (vedi qui sotto nei commenti). La Croazia è ufficialmente entrata nell'area Euro !! Meno male che ci siamo stati in ottobre (giornata splendida dopo giorni di fastidiosissima bora)

This is how Meli beach appeared to us (4 October). Until a few years ago there was nothing here, if not a real corner of paradise, one of the very few beaches on Cres where you can enter the water by walking on the sand. I could see on Google Maps some recent photos, in summer, with the beach full of people, 2 deckchairs and umbrella 25 euros per day, and all at sunset with spritz of order. What a pity!
