This is the version in b&n

This is the one made with 14mm

All of them are very beautiful, but I prefer, especially for composition, the color one with 14mm, greetings, Obbes.

Thanks Obbes, it should be borne in mind that the one with the 14mm needed a heavy straightening of the vertical lines, thus inevitably distorting the right proportions, while the one with the 9mm was taken with the camera exactly parallel to the floor without any straightening of the verticals..., the only change was the cut of the lower part to get the 16/9 ;-)
Thank you for the very welcome opinion ;-)
Good evening.

f 9mm! But what clarity practically from under the camera at the end of the church. The color rendering is also very nice. A very nice and interesting photo. A warm greeting.

Spectacular scenic effect, I prefer 9 mm to 14 mm!
I notice the classic criticalities of the UWA at the corners but also the inconsistencies with the areas in focus and out of focus on the vaults, on the back wall and on the apse, initially I thought of artifacts due to denoise but I see that you shot at 100 ISO, I would also try the rendering at different apertures, given how the problem presents itself I don't think it depends on the curvature of the field, in this case it would be enough to move the MAF to different points, however with the UWA at the beginning you pay a bit of a pledge before finding the square, I take a series of shots with different parameters either of aperture, or of MAF point.
Greetings
Luca

Fabrizio, thanks for the clarifications! :-)
Let's be clear, mine was not a criticism of your skills that I had the opportunity to appreciate in many shots, it was just a "technical" observation on the vehicle (the new lens) for the reasons I explained above, even if it was strange to me that there was alternation between areas in focus and areas out of focus :-o however, they can be explained by the very frequent, not to say certain, curvature of field on UWAs, which initially drove me crazy on my Sony 24-105 because I didn't understand where the problem was, obviable as I described above.
A good evening to you
too Luca

Luca, imagine if I could consider a criticism a very fair observation...! In fact, I thank you for noticing it, so that I can try to correct the shot. These are the comments that I prefer, and that demonstrate the attention that not everyone pays in looking at the published photos, and for this I thank you again ;-)
Until next time...
Fabrizio

The width and depth that the 9mm gives is exceptional! Excellent recovery.
Greetings.

An interior of great beauty, to which a super wide-angle lens gives the right credit. Very nice your shot, congratulations.
I loved a 10mm on Sony full frame for many years, to the point of abusing it in obsessive use. Then I abandoned it, changing it with a fixed and bright 14mm, to try new research and use experiences, but I have not yet found and experienced the same feeling. This shot of yours makes me have some regrets... despite all the problems that such a perspective entails both in recovery and in post-management
Greetings,
Nino

The color version of the 9mm wins hands down, if only for the splendid frescoes whose chromatic shades enhance the depth of perspective.
Net of some software artifice (certainly to make unwanted objects disappear and you have made bane) I would say that it is a beautiful glass to have fun with, the result is remarkable and excellent.
In particular the composition, attention to the highlights and colors, with a wb I would say perfect.
And anyway the one in b/w is not bad at all, on the contrary...

The image is suggestive and pleasant, rich in detail... except, which I can't explain, in some fairly circumscribed points. And I'm not referring to the extreme angles, where all in all the drop is not dramatic at all, but to some intermediate areas between other clear areas, such as the culmination of the last time before the dome: it's clear davanri, it's sharp behind, but there is an area of... confusion. I don't think it's the optics.

Congratulations Fabrizio,
the image is very beautiful and I would say that the "Chinese" does not look bad at all compared to much more "emblazoned" (and expensive) lenses.
Hello and have a nice day,
Paolo

Wonderful vision. Beautiful also in b/w but in my opinion in color you can appreciate the frescoes better
