The Hornets how long they remained on thistle? .. would fly away with me now! It's not that I do a lot of macro in my part because insects are not so big, we have mosquitoes and the few times I tried to do a butterfly I got a booty moved and blurring. :-( But now I have improved the 'equipment, I see that with the Sony NEX-7 go much better for both the viewfinder and the speed of focus. ;-)
Congratulations beautiful set. :-P
All the best, Gabriel.
PS If you know that any advice is welcome.

almeno così risulta dai dati EXIF appena riletti.

Ciao, Gianni

I've seen your work Sony NEX-7: dynamic and very beautiful colors and, in particular, your shots Still Life, made with the same, they are very convincing for cleaning and handling of lights.
I find it very interesting, for example, the photo "Lights minimum - Composition 2" impact, I would say, Caravaggio.
With such a machine, the result of considerable experience in the field of images Sony and its sensors, and optics combined with the 18-55, you can safely do the kind of picture you're referring to, and that are also in my gallery " Nature. "
However, with the knowledge that you are working with magnification ratios of up to 1/3 full telephoto (55 mm)
so that for smaller entities will be inevitable, PP interventions crop (CROP).
It must also consider that, having to workking with subjects in full and frenetic activity,
shutter speeds will inevitably be shorter, resulting in high ISO values ??with the same aperture.

If, however, we really want to move to a true macro photography, then there's the story:
serves a nice and bright optical zoom ratio 1/1 at least 90mm/f2.8, then invent a lot 'perches, a set of backdrops, the subjects "very patient" and getting loads of dew-but who sells the dew? - and a lot of dedication (not my case).

About then the dwell time of hornets on thistle, :-) :-) I think they stop until they find
nutrition and / or are not disturbed. For example, the photo "bumble-1" and "bumble-2", in my gallerywere taken on the same flower at a distance of about a minute of each other:
so it is just re-read the EXIF ??data.
One last note about the mosquitoes: we have ourselves and, alas, sting, only the females though:-D

Hello, Gianni
