Ho pensato alla figura del pescatore dividendo la sua attività in tre momenti: l'arrivo con la preparazione; la pesca e l'attesa; il rientro a casa con il pescato. In questo senso mi sono divertito a frazionare la fotografia in tre parti uguali: un palo di legno in primissimo piano rappresenta un primo elemento e incornicia la scena vera e propria, formata dalle altre due porzioni definite dalla linea del mare. Il quadrato della scena così occupa 2/3 della composizione e descrive il secondo momento dell'attività del protagonista.
