Good job. I see some noise in the "neutral" areas, maybe with a sw like DxO you could improve your excellent image even more

Thank you Yellow.
In the "neutral" areas rather than noise, I would see a blur given by 85 at f/4.
In post production, I have been using Lightroom for many years. I'm so used to using it
so much that I don't consider other software.
Sincerely, Antonio

Thank you Elisabetta.
Even some churches in Rome defend themselves very well in terms of mosaics.
There is not only Ravenna... :-D !!
A good day, Antonio

Gianni Fazer thank you for visiting.
For the "excellent" shot I have to thank my 85/1.4 45 years old, but always
tireless and tireless... ;-) !!
Kind regards, Antonio

Hi Antonvito. By neutral area I meant the gray frame, devoid of significant details, which constitutes the perimeter of the nearest arch, to understand the one surmounted by the mosaic depicting the Lamb.
Instead, as far as the lens is concerned, I see that the peripheral area on the left (e.g. capital) is sufficiently detailed even in the out-of-focus, while the corresponding one on the right is much poorer: in my opinion it would be worth checking the alignment of the lenses of the optics.

Hello Yellow63.
I looked carefully at the image and in my mind I returned to see the scene.
The gray frame is at least 20/25 meters from Christ, the central figure of the shot, on which I
focused. So I don't know if with f/4 I can also have the area sharply before the 20/25mt of the
set focus. Unfortunately I no longer have the depth-of-field tables of this lens
due to its age.
About the difference in detail between right and left, it is a detail that I also noticed.
At first, I attributed the phenomenon to a misalignment of the camera. However, I do not exclude
that it may be the alignment of the lenses. If they don't ask me too much,
I'll take a trip to CSA (the Nikon service in Rome). It's a goal I care a lot about.
Thanks for the comment, Antonio
