Posto sulla sponda occidentale del Lago d'Orta, il comune di Pella presenta ancor oggi evidenti tracce delle fortificazioni medioevali (la torre in Piazza Motta ne è un esempio), che caratterizzano il profilo del paese e che rimandano alla comune storia delle comunità che si affacciano sul Lago d'Orta. Gradevoli sono la passeggiata sul porticciolo e la vista che da qui si può godere sull'Isola di San Giulio e sull'opposta sponda del lago.
