Avevo lasciato la famiglia a riposare alla chiesa e mi sono incamminato lungo il sentiero di crinale dietro di essa. Immerso nel rilassante fruscio della brezza sulle foglie di faggio ho trovato il cimitero ancora ben tenuto e con tanti bei fiori. Col di Favilla è un piccolissimo borgo abbandonato della Garfagnana a circa 1000 metri di quota. Le case sono ruderi ma la chiesa è ben tenuta. Il giorno e la notte si alternano sopra il cimitero mentre la vita tutto intorno corre come un soffio di vento che poi si dissolve nella pace e qui riposa. Poi riparte un'altra folata di vento e poi un'altra, senza mai un ritmo preciso, ma in una sintonia meravigliosa con il canto degli uccelli di giorno e con il canto dei grilli di notte. Ti volti indietro e i rivoli di vento sono saliti al cielo, tutto è cambiato, anch'io sono diverso.
