Ed infine l' ultima delle tre bellissime chiese visitate a Soncino (CR), la chiesa di San Giacomo, il cui accesso dal chiostro retrostante si trova proprio di fronte alla Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta. Caratteristica di questa chiesa è di avere l' altare raggiungibile da una scalinata che parte dal piano base davanti all' altare stesso. Notevoli gli affreschi sulla volta, ma nell' insieme presenti in quantità minore rispetto alla chiesa di S.Maria delle Grazie, ma molto ben tenuta e con restauri ancora in corso nella cripta sottostante l' altare.
