I certainly also have the f/1.4 version which easily had the ISO halved; I think that at full aperture it lost something on the stars (probably due to too much softness and further difficulty in focusing them manually with precision, especially at the edges with respect to the center) and the visual damage was greater than that of the high ISO that the 6D holds up well.
