2017-10-27. piazza centrale di Tashkent. a destra - l'edificio del governo (Consiglio dei Ministri) costruito nel 1930 e ricostruito nel 1952-1954. davanti a questo edificio c'era il monumento a Lenin. nel 1965 hanno costruito il nuovo edificio del Consiglio dei Ministri (a sinistra), che poi, nei post-sovietici era ricostruito. davanti al vecchio edificio nei tempi sovietici si svolgevano le manifestazioni del Primo Maggio e del 7 Novembre (anniversario della rivoluzione di Ottobre). al primo piano vediamo il bacino rettangolare della famosa fontana, che al momento della ripresa non funzionava. i lavori di ricostruzione erano finiti nel 2021. storicamente la piazza portava diversi nomi: Pizza della Cattedrale (nei tempi dello zar), Piazza Rossa, Piazza Lenin oppure Allea delle Parate, e ora - Piazza dell'Indipendenza. al posto del vecchio edificio del Consiglio dei Ministri, nei tempi dello zar c'era il palazzo del governatore del Turkestan.
