In questo piccolo Borgo Medievale, ricco di storia (tra l'altro qui Federico II di Svevia praticava la falconeria in un castello, in parte, ancora conservato) e di leggende (fantasmi e spiritelli “pare” saltellino qua e là), sono incappato fortuitamente in un racconto il cui protagonista mi ha svelato le origini. Nel borgo c'è una bottega artigiana e, al centro del suo “cortile incantato”, c'è un “pozzo dei desideri”: scrivendo su un bigliettino il proprio desiderio e gettandolo nel pozzo, pare si realizzi sempre! Ma come nasce questo racconto che ha le carte in regola per diventare (forse) un giorno leggenda? Me l'ha confidato l'artigiano che realizza i cestini portafortuna che qui vengono venduti per pochi euro. Con la pelle patinata dal tempo passato, mi ha raccontato della sua infanzia. Le condizioni economiche erano difficili. Suo padre era sempre malato (aveva una forte asma che rendeva spesso le notti insopportabili) e morì giovane. La madre fece di tutto per tirare su la famiglia. Ma in quel cortile, che una volta era convento, c'era una ricchezza, un pozzo da cui attingere acqua, acqua sempre disponibile per irrigare l'orto. Grazie a quell'acqua, i desideri semplici di quella famiglia povera si realizzavano, anno dopo anno. Sono passati molti anni da quei giorni e ormai dal pozzo acqua non ne viene più su. La mamma novantenne è morta da anni e così è venuta l'idea che quel pozzo potesse essere ancora fonte di miracoli, un luogo dove i desideri potessero ancora essere esauditi.
