Congregants of the Fifohazana Malagasy movement during the traditional Sunday procession (Madagascar). The congregation of the Fifohazana (awakening) movement in Madagascar is part of an indigenous Christian revival that began in the late nineteenth century with Rainisoalambo. It is integrated within the Malagasy Lutheran Church, which has more than five million members and thousands of congregations. This movement emphasizes spiritual healing, exorcism, service to the poor and sick, cleanliness, daily communal prayer and Bible study. The community also contributes to social development through cooperatives, literacy programs, schools and health services. Believers, known as mpiandry or shepherds, are consecrated laypersons trained at revival centers called toby. Regional differences exist, for example some centers assign exorcism to a single shepherd while others involve all who are present. The movement remains one of the most significant examples of Christianity adapted to Malagasy culture and identity. Beautiful moment captured, very pleasant white contrast with the brown soil. Thanks also for the very exhaustive description that further contextualizes the shot and the subjects!

To perfection it was missing to tilt the car a few degrees up, to leave the roofs intact, in addition to the feet of course 8-)
But I understand what it means to run and shoot a real, unposed, fast-moving scene.
It often happens to me too.
Always very good ;-)
