Tubi di prolunga da 10mm e 16mm. Esemplare femmina di Pholidoptera griseoaptera, comunemente chiamata "grillo selvatico scuro", fotografato su una mano. Questa specie di cavalletta brachittera è riconoscibile per le ali ridotte e il lungo ovopositore (8-10,5 mm), utilizzato per deporre le uova nel terreno. Il colore varia dal marrone-grigio al giallo-bruno, con un sottile orlo bianco sui lobi laterali del pronoto. Diffusa in tutta Italia continentale e Sardegna, vive tra erbe alte e cespugli ai margini dei boschi. È onnivora: si nutre principalmente di piccoli insetti, ma integra la dieta con materiale vegetale.

Ciao Dmo, grazie per l'occhio!
Sono andato a rivedere le foto di quella giornata ed in effetti l'insetto ha entrambe le antenne (allego foto di altro scatto di questa cavalletta in altra posizione). In questo scatto una era semplicemente rivolta verso l'obiettivo, quindi si nota pochissimo (guardando bene con un po' di zoom si intravede). Ottima osservazione, mi ha fatto controllare meglio la serie!




Aggiungo che lo scatto è stato fatto con un obiettivo Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2× APO a f/8 e con l'aggiunta di tubi di prolunga da 10 mm e 16 mm.
Ho fatto due conti veloci: con un ingrandimento di circa 2,3×, la profondità di campo reale è intorno a 0,4 mm in totale (circa 0,2 mm davanti e 0,2 mm dietro al piano di fuoco), se non erro.
Questo lo giustifica al meglio e, soprattutto, evidenzia quanto sia importante lo stacking!
