Beh, se i lodigiani hanno eretto un monumento a Federico Barbarossa avranno avuto i loro motivi....

Il monumento a Federico Barbarossa, imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero, a Lodi fu eretto in ricordo della fondazione della città da parte dell'imperatore nel 1158, dopo la distruzione di Laus Pompeia (Lodi Vecchio). Federico Barbarossa, nel contesto delle sue campagne in Italia, ricostruì Lodi in una nuova posizione, e questo evento segnò la nascita della città moderna; Federico Barbarossa era in conflitto con i comuni italiani, in primis Milano, che aveva distrutto Laus Pompeia. boh...... Lodi, Pavia e Como avevano chiesero al Barabarossa contro lo strapotere di Milano; lui perciò assediò Tortona,alleata di Milano, prendendola per sete e per fame nel 1155 e radendola al suolo.... A Monza fu incoronato re d'Italia, poi a Roma ricette la corona imperiale..... mah... nel 1162 finalmente gli riuscì di radere al suolo Milano.... mah....negli anni successivi i comuni si organizzarono però contro di lui, in veneto in Lega Veneta, in Lombardia in Lega Lombarda, ratificando ciò col giuramento di Pontida il 7 aprile del 1167.....poi lotta per la supremazia fra papato e impero..... tanta roba, dalla Lega Veneta e alla Lega Lombarda, alle supremazie nel mondo conosciuto, alle città rase al suolo per fare un favore a qualcuno ....fino all'adesione alla terza crociata del 1187 per andare a riconquistare Gerusalemme dominata dagli infedeli....dopo un lunghissimo percorso lungo vari stati annegherà in un fiume.....SorrisoSorrisoSorriso..... chiedo scusa per aver vegognosamente saccheggiato gli appunti scolastici per capire la ragione di una statua in onore del Barbarossa:-PSorrisoSorriso
