Tubi di prolunga da 10mm e 16mm. Scatto di Bombus pascuorum, detto anche "bombo dei pascoli", riconoscibile per la fitta peluria giallo-arancio che ricopre il torace. È una delle specie più comuni in Europa e visita instancabilmente i fiori selvatici grazie alla sua lunga lingua, adatta a bottinare anche le corolle più profonde. Nonostante l'aspetto peloso e massiccio, è un insetto mite. A differenza di altri bombi, non costruisce nidi sottoterra ma spesso tra l'erba alta, camuffando l'ingresso con foglie e muschio.
