Questo scatto riprende in modo molto parziale l'angolo del foghèr, cioè quello che nella tradizione veneta, specialmente della Val di Zoldo, era il focolare. Solitamente era cinto su tre lati da una panca in legno (la banca) dove l'appoggio per la schiena era dato dalle pareti del locale. Il fuoco era acceso sul larìn, il basamento in pietra che era sormontato da una grande cappa (la nàpa) spesso ornata da un ricamo.
