Seeing this type of photo still in 2025 makes me so sad. Maybe a great photographer like you can imagine a different shot. With love, Michela

Seeing this kind of photo still in 2025 makes me so sad.[ /QUOTE]
think that both Miriam and I had a lot of fun taking them :-) If you see sadness, I'm sorry for you.

Winning combination, women and engines, beautiful contextualization and composition.

Absolutely true, this photo conveys a sense of objectification of the woman, like an accessory like a luxury car.

Michela, I am the exact opposite of the misogynistic stereotype, the macho man, etc... And I am convinced that there is still a lot to do to achieve equal rights in different genders, but I don't think this is the place to talk about it because it is a complex topic with a thousand nuances. However, allow me, exalting beauty in a non-vulgar way, it is a small cross-section of what a person is like, I do not see it as an "objectification" of the subject. As well as enhancing intelligence, athletic ability, spirit of sacrifice, passion, work results, etc., is simply a small cross-section of a person. Honestly, your judgment on the Emanuele/Miriam collaboration seems more cutting to me. What do you know about Miriam?

Thanks for the comments, even if I don't agree with some points of view I appreciate that an effort was made to argue the criticisms a bit more ;-) No desire to "objectify" on my part... simply with each shooting we try to do something different, we went from those in the Ligurian villages to the shooting in the snow, and for the latter the idea was to try something by adding the cars as "props", and doing two shootings in one - the first on the theme of "adventure" with the Toyota Land Cruiser, and the second on the theme of "elegance" with the Fisker Karma. I can only partially publish the adventure shooting for now because some were taken with a lens under NDA :-D And I will also publish more about Fisker later... Anyway, to get back to the point, what I want to say is that it is certainly not intended as a shooting with an "object woman", on the contrary, it is a project created together with the model, and made in my opinion in a pleasant and not vulgar way, then okay, I understand that everyone has their own tastes and points of view.

In my opinion, more than the discourse of "objectification of women" the non-problem with this photo is that it is a classic, already seen and reviewed. But it's okay.
Similarly, having shot a rembrandt of a friend last week, you could tell me that I am not inventive in the lighting schemes in the studio.
Come on, if we have to argue we argue (I'm Ligurian, I know something about :-D ) but having to find something to say becomes boring.
Can I have my say? This girl is physically impeccable, but the face with those PeoPericoli model eyebrows loses a lot.
There was someone who pointed out that the background hangs to the right :D:D

The car smiles more than the model.
It seems that you are wronging him... :-D

curiosity, given that the subject of a photo ends up being, almost by definition, "used", as you can take a photo without the protagonist being "objectified" in some of his characteristics (gender, physique, age, health condition, state of mind, etc.).
What is the difference between photographing a woman next to a car or a pensioner playing checkers?

For a test I think these shots are ok. You can do better and worse, but the purpose was not to do a real shooting I think. Then realistically I think we can say that by now the "snapptable has been taken".

mmmmmhh..... It is difficult to get everyone to agree.
I really like PeoPericoli style eyebrows. I propose to open two Galleries. One with models like Elio&LeStorieTese and another with models like Moira Orfei.
@Juza: next time use a nun as a model. It is always a stereotype, but at least no one will touch the subject of the female condition.... or not?? 8-)

The language of art and artists always has social and political consequences, those who have the privilege of using it should never forget it.

3 piccoli appunti:

Michela, explains why this is how we of the last century also understand.

I don't want and no one can hope for an "opinion shot" of Michela (if I understood the name correctly) who had the desire and education to express a different opinion, but I would suggest her to be cautious about making us rise here to intellectuals or creators with potential artistic or cultural consequences. I think it doesn't work so much, in the sense that, and I speak for myself, I publish here things that I like, I see many better ones, if I can I learn something and here I stop. Honestly, Emanuele's photos in this service do not excite me but it is just a personal opinion and taste, given that the quality is high. IMHO ;-)

in reality no one is shooting at opinion, despite the fact that it is a widespread practice to shoot both at opinion and at those who express it, when the moralizer on duty considers the opinion "wrong"...
but given the judgment so clear and without appeal, a curiosity to know the reasons was there... All in all, criticizing without justifying is not that "polite" and correct.
