la fotografia con filtro IR si pratica con diversi tipi di filtro, che variano a seconda della frequenza in nanometri es. un filtro ir680 lascerà passare più spettro visibile rispetto ad un filtro 720: utilizzando un filtro con numero più basso di 700 otterremo più colori nello scatto, un filtro sopra i 700 va benissimo per un b/n o un seppia.
si scatta molto spesso tra i 20 ed i 30 secondi, la messa a fuoco deve essere regolata prima di montare il filtro, poichè anche in liveview lo schermo risulterà pressochè nero.
le condizioni migliori per scattare sono opposte a quelle classiche, quindi piena luce e grandi contrasti.
tra gli aspetti più interessanti troviamo che alcuni materiali reagiscono in maniera differente alla luce IR, ad esempio la clorofilla contenuta nelle foglie ha dei picchi di assorbimento fin circa i 700nm, quindi le lunghezze d'onda maggiori di quella soglia vengono restituite quasi per intero, di conseguenza il fogliame risulta bianco.
il raw che avremo dopo aver scattato è ben diverso dal risultato mostrato in questa foto, il negativo conterrà tutta la gamma del rosso/magenta, molto poco gradevole, sul web troverete informazioni molto dettagliate su come post produrre;
vi accenno che di base occorre effettuare un color swap, ossia una inversione dei canali nel channel mixer: nel canale rosso si azzera il rosso e si porta a 100 il blu, viceversa nel canale del blu.
in questo modo otterremo almeno un cielo azzurro.
in questo ambito la sperimentazione è d'obbligo ed il gusto personale può portare a risultati del tutto inaspettati e sicuramente affascinanti.
