Infas thanks :-) ;-) antennas cut on purpose to get the highest possible magnification as the "subject" of the photo is the exoskeleton :-) view the static nature of the bug to have an even greater magnification I could shoot vertically, but are quite allergic to the vertical compo:-D

Maxspin thanks to you, as always ;-)

Taking great for colors and sharpness, too bad for your allergy
to the vertical, in this case the composition would have helped.
Greetings, see you soon Tex

sin for your allergy
to the vertical, in this case the composition would have helped

I'm sorry but I'm not convinced. Forgive my frankness, but that cut penalizes this very good image that could be excellent.
I do not understand the reason for this thine adversity against the vertical cuts, but I think that in order to obtain excellent images compositionally it is sometimes necessary to compromise with our personal taste.

Quoto Angelino84 and also it is not true that you have an aversion to vertical cuts in your galleries considered that there are at least a dozen photos taken in vertical vertical and indeed is also your photo with more than I like, an EP titled Vertigo. ;-)

wow!

wow! Angelino Viangivo :-) and ;-) thanks for passing and analysis will try to explain the "reasons" that often directs me to this choice. it is true that in my galleries there are several vertical shots but in all cases are "forcing" I do it because I instinctively when I see a scene like any "read" horizontally, although the general taste (let's call it: - )) and common sense would claim often compose of a vertical axis. as I said this is an instinctive preference then just go and have a hard time against me, except in cases such as "Vertigo" precisely where you must :-)

it being understood that your views are condivisibilissimi and indeed, much more sensible of my ;-)

instead for what concerns the antyear-old cut, I know perfectly well that the choice does not sit with the classical canon to not "cut off" anything unless it is absolutely necessary :-) but in this case the subject of the photo is not the bug but its strange carapace and him in the position I wanted and as tight as I wanted ... there was no other solution than to the vertical of course:-D

Fortunately, however, the bugs abound:-D and next time I'll try to do something different ;-)

Finally, thank you for the frankness without which talking points are not there ;-)
