Le Terme di Bath, situate nella città di Bath, in Inghilterra, sono uno dei siti archeologici romani meglio conservati del Regno Unito. Fondate nel I secolo d.C. durante l'occupazione romana, le terme furono costruite attorno a una sorgente termale naturale considerata sacra dai celti, dedicata alla dea Sulis. I romani assimilarono questa divinità con la loro Minerva, dando origine al culto di Sulis Minerva. Il complesso termale comprendeva una serie di vasche, sale per bagni caldi e freddi (calidarium, tepidarium e frigidarium), e un tempio. Le terme furono un importante centro religioso, sociale e terapeutico per la popolazione romana. Dopo il declino dell'Impero Romano, l'uso delle terme cessò e il sito cadde in rovina, ma venne riscoperto e riportato alla luce nel XVIII e XIX secolo. Oggi le Terme di Bath sono un'importante attrazione turistica e testimonianza del raffinato ingegno ingegneristico romano. Aggiungo che gli Inglesi hanno organizzato la visita con grande intelligenza, mettendo in grande risalto l'incredibile Ingegno Romano. Sono ancora oggi funzionanti perfettamente ! molto bello quello che è stato creato attorno alle terme.. saluti a tutti
