Complice una serata dall' atmosfera tersa, insolita per Bologna, decido di riprovare a fotografare questo splendido ammasso. Comincio già a pianificare mentalmente la sessione dopo essermi accorto di un cielo azzurrissimo, libero da nuvole e con un tramonto trasparente "poco rosso", mentre i colli dai colori netti sono tangibili, stranamente non avvolti dalla solita leggera foschia. Dopo aver allineato manualmente alla polare la montatura e collimato il cercatore con il bresser 102/460 vado a cercare il soggetto. Pronto a passarci una quarantina di minuti almeno date le precedenti esperienze ( non ho sistemi goto, ricerco a vista, mi fa sentire un antico navigatore) trovo subito il mio bersaglio. Pazzesco, mai riuscito a vederlo attraverso il microscopico 6x30, non ho nemmeno adattato la vista al buio! È la conferma che l'atmosfera è pulita. Questa è meno intrisa di particelle che riflettono i lampioni della città,
lasciando perciò passare la debole magnitudine di questo colosso del cielo. Così ecco che riesco finalmente a centrare il soggetto al centro della foto ( quello che vedete è un crop ma l'originale è altrettanto centrato) Dopo qualche tentativo deciso per ISO e 90" di tempo. Il risultato esce meno mosso dell' altra volta per l'assenza di vento e ben più luminoso, con una nitidezza superiore che separa meglio le stelle. Finito, si sparecchia tutto. Post prodotta col massimo della tecnica alla mia portata ( un imbarazzante "modifica" allo smartphone, parametri quali luminosità, contrasto, alte luci e ombre, punto di bianco e nero). Con un occhio aperto e l'altro già chiuso. Prima di cadere in un sonno ristoratore penso: e se provassi bias dark e Flat? Troverò il tempo? Che bella serata!
