Prima della nascita della mia passione per il mondo della fotografia, l'isalnda era già una terra che da sempre sognavo di visitare. Ma da fotografo, la mia visita lo scorso anno è stata sicuramente incentrata per visitare l'isola, ma anche per portare a casa gli scatti di questa magica terra. Un luogo che desideravo tanto visitare e fotografare è il maestoso Vestrahorn, situato nella parte sud-orientale dell'Islanda, è una montagna spettacolare e una delle più fotografate del paese. Con i suoi 454 metri di altezza, si distingue per le sue cime frastagliate e la sua posizione scenografica accanto alla spiaggia di Stokksnes, caratterizzata da sabbia nera e dune. Ma poteva essere semplice? Bhè no! Abbiamo raggiunto questo luogo sperduto per ben tre volte, in due giorni di tentativi, ma alla fine, dopo aver atteso per sette ore in macchina tra la nebbia e la pioggia, c'è stato un vero miracolo. La nebbia ha iniziato a diradersi e il mio scatto è la meraviglia che ci siamo trovati davanti! Non potevamo lasciare l'Islanda senza aver fatto un saluto a questo meraviglioso spot! Che ne dici? E' valsa la pena?
