Rifugio Duca degli Abruzzi al Lago Scaffaiolo (1787 m s.l.m.) - Parco Regionale del Corno alle Scale - Appennino Bolognese / Vecchio scatto del Giugno 1980 su pellicola con fotocamera analogica Olympus OM-1 e obiettivo Zuiko 135 mm F/3.5 / Quello rappresentato è il vecchio storico rifugio che ha preceduto l'attuale struttura / Lunga è la storia dei rifugi al Lago Scaffaiolo … a partire dal 1878, con un susseguirsi di distruzioni e ricostruzioni / A parte gli interventi di demolizione dovuti agli umani quello che più rende difficile la permanenza di un insediamento su questo crinale è la ventosità: l'anemometro di riferimento di “Meteosestola.it” collocato al Passo di Croce Arcana (quasi stessa quota del Rifugio e distante in linea d'aria nemmeno 3 Km) il 21 novembre 2020 ha registrato una raffica a 270.4 Km/h superando il precedente rilevamento del 2012 (sempre stessa postazione) di 238 Km/h.

Grazie Paolo per l'interessamento. Aggiungo comunque che quello riprodotto è il rifugio realizzato nel 1965. Doveva essere una installazione temporanea ma ha tenuto botta per oltre 35 anni. Per me è stato un luogo di accoglienza e di amicizie e indimenticabili erano certe giornate e notti, specialmente d'inverno, quando la raffica del vento la sentivi arrivare con un rombo e impattare sulle lamiere mentre la struttura ne subiva le vibrazioni. Per saperne di più sul rifugio lascio qui di seguito, come riferimento, questo articolo di Stefano Ardito (che di Montagna scrive e divulga da tantissimo) preso dal sito di “Montagna TV”… e comunque sì: questo tratto d'Appennino, assieme alle aree più elevate di quello centrale, è tra le più ventose d'Italia come intensità e frequenza dei fenomeni.
