Uno dei luoghi che possono fornire spunti interessanti al fotoamatore è sicuramente la Diamond Beach, in Islanda. Gli iceberg che si staccano dal Breiðamerkurjökull vengono trasportati dalle maree fin sulla spiaggia di sabbia lavica di Fellsjara, dove si depositano come diamanti effimeri su un letto di sabbia lavica scura, ma sono pronti ad accendersi letteralmente con gli incredibili colori dell'alba: come perdersi uno spettacolo simile?
