In questo spettacolare campo nella costellazione del Cigno troviamo la nebulosa denominata Propeller (Elica), in codice DWB 111 o Simeis57 o MRSL 479, immersa nelle vaste trame dell'idrogeno del complesso molecolare gigante di Cygnus X del quale fa parte anche IC1318. Propeller Nebula è una nebulosa a emissione nella costellazione del Cigno caratterizzata da una coppia di archi opposti, uno che si estende a nord, l'altro a sud, che sembrano ruotare simmetricamente lontano da un centro comune. L'elica si trova 5° a sud-ovest di Deneb e gli astronomi sembrano avere più domande che risposte: sia l'origine della struttura peculiare che la distanza della nebulosa e la fonte dell'eccitazione sono ancora indeterminate, mentre la sua massa sembra essere di poche decine di volte quella del sole.
