Il ponte del diavolo (in realtà si chiamerebbe ponte della Maddalena..) a Borgo a Mozzano in provincia di Lucca è un bellissimo ponte medievale che, come altri analoghi in giro per il mondo, ha alle spalle la leggenda dell'intervento del diavolo per poterlo realizzare. Come al solito il diavolo chiedeva in cambio la prima anima che avesse attraversato il ponte, una volta completato. A farne le spese era il solito povero cane o altro animale, che veniva fatto passare per primo sul ponte dal solito santo furbacchione. Così il povero diavolo veniva sistematicamente gabbato...Scherzi a parte il ponte viene fatto risalire addirittura a Matilde di Canossa ed ha avuto varie vicissitudini per crolli e ricostruzioni, con modifiche l'ultima delle quali riguarda l'arcata realizzata per il passaggio della ferrovia. La possente struttura è però in gran parte originale e ben conservata.
