Oggi un immagine di pochi giorni fa' di un meraviglioso Airone in volo a pochi metri da me : un “airone rosso”, perfettamente mimetizzato tra i fitti canneti del canale, si confondeva con le canne palustri mosse appena dal vento. Non l'avevo notato, finché all'improvviso, con un battito d'ali ampio e potente, si è levato in volo a pochi metri di distanza. In un attimo la sua figura elegante si è sollevata con il suo splendido piumaggio brunastro, striato di ruggine e bronzo, il collo sinuoso piegato a esse, le zampe protese all'indietro, e le ali ampie che battevano lente e regolari: un'apparizione silenziosa e fulminea, che ha lasciato dietro di sé solo un battito d'ali e un senso di meraviglia. Meravigliosa Natura !!!
