Gioia dei Marsi, un paese in provincia dell'Aquila. Completamente distrutto dal terremoto del 1915 è stato ricostruito più a valle. Ancora adesso le case, di piccole dimensioni, sono quelle costruite dopo il terremoto. Attualmente conta 1700 abitanti e si sta progressivamente spopolando.
