Una tradizione centenaria lega le festività pasquali ad un'antica comunità contadina e ad un luogo magico del Salento rimasto ancora incontaminato dopo tanti anni: Santissimo Crocifisso del monte. Secondo questa antichissima tradizione gruppi di famiglie si incontravano nei pressi della chiesetta denominata "del Crocifisso" dove partecipavano alla funzione religiosa domenicale, continuando i festeggiamenti della Santa Pasqua alcune settimane dopo la chiusura delle festività canoniche.
