Oggi un ' immagine che cattura un momento straordinario e fulmineo nella vita selvatica di un "Airone cenerino", elegante predatore dei laghi. Da un punto di osservazione rialzato, situato a circa cinquanta metri dalla riva, l'airone scruta con occhi attenti la superficie increspata dell'acqua. Improvvisamente, individua un movimento: un pesce, ignaro del pericolo, nuota vicino alla superficie. In una frazione di secondo, l'airone si lancia in volo, con le ali spiegate e il corpo teso in una traiettoria precisa e letale. Senza esitazione, plana a bassa quota, rallenta con un rapido battito d'ali e si getta in picchiata: il becco affilato fende l'aria e colpisce con violenza chirurgica. Il pesce viene trafitto, e la sua sagoma guizzante resta sospesa nel becco dell'airone, immobile,ormai sicuramente ucciso. Con la preda ancora infilzata, l'uccello risale in volo e ritorna al suo punto d'osservazione con la stessa calma con cui era partito. Appollaiato di nuovo, inclina leggermente la testa all'indietro e, con un rapido gesto, inghiotte il pesce intero, facendolo scivolare all'interno del suo lungo collo. Tutto si consuma in pochi secondi: un atto di pura efficienza predatoria, silenzioso e inesorabile, nel perfetto equilibrio tra eleganza e ferocia naturale. La natura e' meravigliosa , ma anche crudele !!!
