La Pietra della Bambina - Sardegna Sa Perda de sa Pippia Foresta Demaniale dei Sette Fratelli Sinnai C'è una montagna, a 30 chilometri da Cagliari, in cui l'incanto della natura selvaggia si mescola al mistero, un luogo – pare – abitato da strane presenze, ricco di suggestioni che nutrono miti e leggende. È la catena montuosa dei Sette Fratelli, teatro di storie fantastiche e di episodi soprannaturali, che, da sempre, anima la fantasia del popolo sardo. Tra i sentieri intricati, cascate, limpidi ruscelli e maestosi picchi granitici, il viandante si avventura in quei boschi non senza timore, perché, certe sere, quando il vento soffia imponente, riecheggia un flebile e macabro lamento: una vana richiesta d'aiuto. È il pianto struggente di una bambina, morta in circostanze tragiche, sepolta per sempre dal peso della montagna, sotto una roccia nota come “Sa Perda de sa Pippia”. Nel silenzio della natura il lamento si leva gelido da quell'enorme masso roccioso, che sembra piovuto dal cielo e che si trova in mezzo al bosco, tra il cammino che porta al giardino botanico e il corso del rio Maidopis. Il nome di quel masso – appunto “Sa Perda de sa Pippia” (la pietra della bambina) – è frutto di una leggenda, storia triste e maledetta, tramandata fin dai tempi più remoti. Si narra che un giorno, al principio della storia dell'uomo, una tribù di cacciatori si addentrò proprio lì, in quel tratto di bosco, alla ricerca di cibo e cacciagione. Ad un tratto la montagna franò e un grosso costone roccioso si staccò, rotolando giù dal monte. Il masso piombò sulla sventurata bambina, schiacciandola e uccidendola sul colpo. Così, quella roccia, “Sa Perda de sa Pippia”, è oggi la tomba naturale di quella piccola anima innocente che, tormentata, vaga nel bosco, ma che non trova né pace, né riposo. Ancora oggi – si racconta – il fantasma della bambina si aggira irrequieto nel punto in cui avvenne la disgrazia e, nelle notti di tempesta, continua a lamentarsi. E quel lamento «si sente per davvero», dicono coloro che, impavidi, si accostano alla pietra. Ma, forse, quel lamento è semplicemente il pianto del vento che, soffiando tra le anfrattuosità del granito, emette dei sibili terrificanti e malinconici, simili al grido d'aiuto di una bambina.
