Di ruggiti ne ho sentiti tanti ma questi due leoni ci hanno regalato un esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Dopo aver lasciato il campeggio da pochi minuti quando ancora c'era pochissima luce abbiamo visto due leoni maschi ed una femmin con due cuccioli; uno dei due leoni era più attivo degli altri e, dopo aver fatto un paio di ruggiti ha iniziato a camminare con un passo veloce. Ogni tanto si fermava per ruggire e poi riprendeva a trotterellare fino a quando, dopo 2/3 km ha incontrato un altro mascho, leggermente più grande che forse era il vero dominante allp interno del gruppo. Dopo uno scambio di leccate hanno iniziato un potentissimo ruggito reso ancora più spettacolare dal vapore che usciva dalle loro bocche.
