In the case of the pilgrim in the photo, I am lucky enough to have a nesting site a few minutes from home where we have been following beautiful broods for a few years. At this time one of the parents is always in the nest and they take turns hunting and feeding. This means that we will soon see the little :-D Last year the first photos of the little ones were at the end of May, so we are close.

Quello che ho notato in questi anni di avifauna è che alcune specie, che sembra ci sfuggano sempre, all'improvviso riusciamo a fotografarle; vuoi per una dritta di un amico oppure per un caso fortunato. Misteriosamente diventa poi quasi normale incontrarle. Forse è solo perché ne impariamo a conoscere le abitudini e frequentiamo aree dove è più probabile incontrarle. Nel caso del pellegrino della foto, ho la fortuna di avere un sito di nidificazione a pochi minuti da casa dove da alcuni anni seguiamo delle belle nidiate. In questo momento uno dei genitori è sempre nel nido e si alternano per la caccia e per nutrirsi. Ciò significa che fra poco vedremo i piccoli  L'anno scorso le prime foto dei piccoli erano di fine Maggio, quindi siamo vicini.
