April 25th: that's why it's Liberation Day sent on April 25, 2025 (19:50) by Lorisb. 43 comments, 404 views. [retina]

, 1/250 f/6.3, ISO 200, hand held.

Bravo Loris!
We must not forget and, above all, it is essential to teach young people the history (the true one) of what happened in an era distant for them and we must do it ourselves, in a precise and convincing way, because today's young people do not have the story of those who directly participated in the Resistance and Liberation; unfortunately there are very few left.

Truly thanks to these boys, girls, men and women who sacrificed themselves, many even their lives for freedom, giving democracy and peace to future generations.
Congratulations Loris for the beautiful portrait of Ezio and for the excellent story.

When everyone forgets, remembering is revolutionary; thought must germinate again in young minds

It is a duty to remember this date of liberation and their protagonists such as Ezio Raspanti. First of all, the army of the Allies which played a decisive role of general cleansing and which had to concede a high toll of human lives. Then the partisan volunteers represented transversally by all political ideologies who contributed with their courage to an approach with another weight for De Gasperi at the negotiating table. Our Constitution is the compendium of this important historical choice.

Wonderful portrait of this humble yet so great man, we must say thanks to their sacrifice if today we are free, which is not something to be taken for granted. Good at giving them the prestige they deserve and that remembers them on this important day. Congratulations
