Ex risaie nella campagna Bolognese, ore 16.15 circa, mentre ero appostato tra canneti, sperando di fotografare gli svassi e i cavalieri con i primi pulli della stagione, il mio amico Antonio appostato di fianco a me, mi sussurra, ci sono i lupi! i nostri sguardi si posano sull'orizzonte attirati da ombre che si muovevano tra i canneti e l'erba alta. All'improvviso, con estrema incredulità, si intravedono due lupi. Stupore, incredulità, gioia tutto insieme. Erano lì, d'avanti a noi, a un centinaio di metri, probabilmente sulle tracce di alcuni caprioli che erano passati nei giorni precedenti. Si guardano intorno, scrutano l'orizzonte alla ricerca di prede o potenziali pericoli, il maschio più scuro, l'alfa, decide di uscire allo scoperto per attraversare una zona aperta, niente alberi o coperture, un rischio necessario per non perdere le tracce dei caprioli. Un'ultimo sguardo e via, attraversano la zona aperta d'avanti a noi e in pochi secondi spariscono nuovamente, come ombre silenziose. Una immensa emozione (grazie Antonio per l'avvistamento)
