Il Molino del Trotto sorge nella Valle del fiume Lanza in provincia di Varese. Tre ruote alimentate da una roggia del fiume stesso mettono in funzione sei macine. Il parco del fiume Lanza é famoso per le Cave di Molera, cave di pietra arenaria (oggi chiuse, ma visibili) che veniva utilizzata per la costruzione di mole abrasive.
