A partire dal 2009 Simon Benetton lasció in comodato d'uso gratuito all'Amministrazione di Pontedera tredici sculture in seguito all'evento Cantiere Simon Benetton: Fuoco, ferro, forza, forma, progetto culturale complesso da ritenersi come una prosecuzione ideale della tradizione artistica e didattica consolidata a Pontedera, alcune delle opere sono esposte oggi al Teatro del Silenzio.
