La piccola chiesa di Santa Maria dell'Odigitria, nel mercato acese.Ricostruita dopo il terremoto del 1693 che aveva distrutto la precedente chiesa. La chiesa è dedicata alla Madonna dell'Odigitria che è la patrona della Sicilia. Sapete che significa questo epiteto? Colei che indica la via, ovviamente della salvezza eterna! Spostandovi all'interno della chiesa, potete ammirarne la forma ottagonale sormontata da una cupola piena di colori e impreziosita dal celebre dipinto l'”Epifania” del palermitano Giuseppe Patania. La chiesa di San Maria dell'Odigitria contiene un unico dipinto dell'artista Pietro Paolo Vasta conosciuta come “Pietà” dipinta con la tecnica olio su tela.
