Un meraviglioso viaggio in camper di 2 settimane lungo la costa della Normandia e della Bretagna, un meteo fatto solo di vento h24 e nuvole e una sola sera con il cielo sereno. Ho deciso di usarla in questo posto pazzesco! Siamo sulla penisola di Pen Hir, ad ovest della Bretagna, dove troviamo questo promontorio assurdo! Finalmente il meteo promette bel tempo e inizio a fare scouting per fare una panoramica. Finalmente è buio e posso iniziare la mia fase di scatto; una serie di scatti in focus stacking per un totale di 200 gradi circa. Quando arrivo al penultimo scatto di destra, controllo e vedo uno strano bagliore viola sul cielo....è aurora! Non potevo crederci! Completo la mia panoramica e il mio focus stacking, ricontrollo gli scatti, chiedo conferma ad alcuni amici in Italia ed effettivamente era aurora! Felice come un bambino, inizio la fase di scatto dedicata al cielo e, arrivato a metà sessione, noto anche la luce zodiacale! Un mix di situazioni cosmiche che mai avrei potuto immaginare. Per chi non è del settore, nel cielo possiamo vedere: l'airglow, l'arco della via lattea invernale, la nebulosa di Orione con il Barnaard Loop, le Pleiadi, la nebulosa Rosetta, la nebulosa California, Giove, Andromeda, la luce zodiacale e l'aurora boreale! Lo scatto è composto da 12 scatti con focus stacking per il primo piano e 7 scatti per il cielo fatti con astroinseguitore, fotocamera astromodificata e filtro h-alpha.
